What is Math Matters Club?  It is a club that is being offered at Sunflower and Meadowlark Elementarys as an unique enrichment program that is especially designed for motivated students needing an additional math boost to reach their fullest potential.   

Why has my child been chosen for this program?  Specific students were selected for this program based on the results of the most recent tesing done at the school. 

What is the ultimate achievement of this program for my child?  The objective of Math Matters  is to improve the self-confidence of students so that this improvement will show on the students’ State Assessment results with a rating of Exemplary. 

What my child do during this time?  The main theme of Math Matters is to have fun, to learn a lot of math and to prepare for daily applied mathematics.  Students will receive bi-weekly instruction and small amounts of homework on a variety of problem solving strategies.  They will obtain a deep understanding of the number system and will solve many challenging problems. 

Who is instructing the students in the Math Matters club?   Mrs. King, ELP and Enrichment Teacher, will be instructing students during this time.
